This fall, in the US and Italy, Aveda Artists celebrated their craft and creativity in spectacular fashion.
First was Aveda Mid-America 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio that brought together more than 1,500 Aveda Artists from across North America for a full day of artistic inspiration. And just a week later in Milan, Italy, nearly 1,200 Aveda Artists came together for Aveda Master Jam Europe 2016.
Here, we are very excited to share with you highlights from Aveda Master Jam Europe 2016:
Catwalk for Water Presentation by the Aveda Italy Team
Aveda Italy Team partnered with Italian designers to create beautiful dresses from recycled materials.
The Aveda Italy Team welcomed Aveda to Milan, the home of fashion, for their Catwalk for Water show, demonstrated by the up and coming fashion trends for autumn 2016/17 whilst paying homage to the hypnotic ambience of their truly beautiful city.
“These hairstyles are the perfect expression of Italian Mediterranean Beauty. We’re celebrating the elegance and natural femininity of women of South Italy, which recalls the richness of this sun-kissed and seaside area,” said Gerardo Lionetti, Aveda Italy Brand Manager.
Aveda Team Canada led by Ray Civello
Team Canada’s “Homage to the Honeybees” showcased intricate headpieces constructed of human hair, shaped like honeycombs.
Team Canada presented an epic three-segment show designed to inspire, move and motivate stylists to live their best lives. As always the looks were not just striking, but they honored the Aveda Mission to care for the world we live in.

Nadina Thelen, Aveda 2015 Global Fashionista Winner
Grunge and glam comes to life in Milan.
Nadina Thelen, the 2015 Aveda Global Fashionista Winner, made her Master Jam debut with a presentation of glamorous and gritty looks. Models walked the runway reminiscent of fashionable grunge with avant-garde styles that were chic, wearable and ultra chic for today.
Antoinette Beenders, Aveda Global Creative Director
Antoinette showed the beauty of “Club Chic” styling on stage.
Antoinette brought to life “Club Chic," a new personal collection modernizing the 1990’s supermodel club girl look and reinterpreting it for today with wearable, chic styles. And while the hairstyles are achievable with an everyday approachability, the looks still embody Antoinette’s high-end sensibility with superb detailing and rich styling.
“My last few collections were quite avant-garde so this time I decided to turn everything upside down and produce a subtle, consumer-friendly collection,” Antoinette said.
The sculptural hair styles of “Cheeky Pop” feature a graduated styling technique that Antoinette notes, “provides an instant hair cut without scissors.”
Antoinette ended the fall season of hair shows with pizazz and positivity as she presented “Cheeky Pop”, an artistic tribute to the heritage that is Aveda —Beauty, Wellness, Environment, Fashion and Art.
And that’s a wrap!
